Price per carat and total
From the asking prices of comparable diamonds listed on IDEX, for the grade you chose.
The price of any diamond specification, its range today and how it moved, up to the full history since 2005, and a market-based value for one particular diamond.
Five tools on the IDEX market record: look up a price, follow its movement up to the full history since December 2005, compare two diamonds, read a whole price grid at once and value a specific diamond with the evidence behind it.
Pick shape, carat, colour and clarity, and optionally cut grade and lab; the price updates as you choose. IDEX shows the price per carat and the indicative total for the weight, where the diamond sits in today's range, and how its price moved over the period you choose.

The spread for the same diamond today, so you see where a particular stone sits.
Every snapshot up to a year, weekly for 3Y and 5Y, monthly for Max. Hollow points mark IDEX estimates for days without listings.
Put two specifications side by side and see both prices, the difference per carat in per cent and in amount, and both price histories on one chart, optionally indexed to 100 on their first common day. In the Hub, "Compare this diamond" takes a diamond straight from Price Lookup into a comparison.
Every colour and clarity in one table: the compact grid D–J × IF–SI2 or all grades D–P × IF–I3, showing the low, average or high per carat. Matrix History compares the grid with any earlier date back to 14 December 2005, and shows exact dates only.
Enter a natural diamond's grades, or in the Retailer Hub let IDEX read them from its grading report, and IDEX values it from the asking prices of comparable diamonds listed on IDEX on that day: the latest day or any exact day since December 2005. Below the minimum of comparable listings, it gives no figure.
A market-based indication from listed asking prices: not an appraisal, insurance or resale value, and not an offer. Laboratory-grown diamonds are not valued. Certificate reading uses IDEX AI Credits.
Prices come from diamonds listed on IDEX, per carat, for the grade you chose. They are asking prices, not transaction prices, and an indication, not an offer. Diamond Valuation values one particular stone from the same data, as a market-based indication, not an appraisal.
Today's prices are updated several times a day and marked provisional; the update after 23:58 UK time is final for the day.
In retail mode, Price Lookup, Comparison, the Price Matrix and Diamond Valuation show your selling prices, calculated from IDEX market prices with your pricing rules in the Retailer Hub.
On a day without listings for a grade, IDEX estimates the price and marks the point as an estimate. Gaps are said, never bridged silently.
